Dunbar Golf Club |
|
Situated 30 miles from Edinburgh, the golf course is laid out on the very land where Oliver Cromwell camped prior to the Battle of Dunbar in 1650. Located on the esatuary of the Firth of Forth, Dunbar is a combination of links and inland terraine. It Became an Open qualifying course in 1992. Club dates back to 1856 but some records suggest it may have been founded in 1794. Old Tom Morris designed the first 15 holes. The sea is a lateral water hazard on some holes and when the wind gets up it is a formidable test for even the best of golfers. Facilities
